Compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA)

1. Framework and commitment
COCOON MIND operates in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services ("Digital Services Act" or "DSA"). As an intermediary service allowing its users to publish certain content (community spaces: The Vigil, The Circle, The Arena, live conference chat), we implement suitable measures to offer a safe, transparent and respectful environment.
2. Single point of contact
In accordance with Articles 11 and 12 of the DSA, COCOON MIND designates a single point of contact for authorities, the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services and users. Any communication may be addressed in French or English to: contact@cocoonmind.com.
3. Reporting illegal content
In accordance with Article 16 of the DSA, anyone can report content they consider illegal. The report can be sent to contact@cocoonmind.com specifying: a) the exact location of the content (URL, space concerned, date and time); b) an explanation of the reasons why the content is deemed illegal; c) your contact details, except where the report concerns offences relating to minors. Any sufficiently substantiated report allows us to establish, with full knowledge, the illegal nature of the content.
4. Handling of reports
We handle reports diligently, non-arbitrarily and objectively. After review, we may remove the content, restrict access to it, or suspend the account that originated the content. The person who submitted the report and, where applicable, the author of the content concerned, are informed of the decision taken and of the available remedies (statement of reasons, Article 17 of the DSA).
5. Moderation measures
COCOON MIND applies its Terms of Use and its Charter of respect. Moderation may be human and/or assisted. Prohibited in particular are hateful, harassing, violent, discriminatory, illegal content, or content inappropriately involving minors. We act in good faith and proportionately to preserve the serenity of the community.
6. Protection of minors
The service is accessible from the age of 15 (with parental consent below). We do not carry out any targeted advertising based on profiling, nor any advertising targeting minors, in accordance with Articles 26 and 28 of the DSA. The interface is designed to avoid manipulative practices ("dark patterns").
7. Remedies and complaints
If you dispute a moderation decision, you can send us a reasoned complaint at contact@cocoonmind.com: we will re-examine it within a reasonable time. You also retain the right to use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, as well as the judicial remedies provided for by applicable law.
8. Transparency
COCOON MIND does not use any algorithmic recommendation system based on advertising profiling. Our moderation practices, our terms of use and our protective measures are described clearly and accessibly. This document will be updated as the service and regulations evolve.
